History of Balearic football part 1

Many people know the Isle of Ibiza as just a party island where 18-30s can go in the summer and get drunk but ibiza has a small and fairly successful history in football with there most successful team, Union Deportiva Ibiza-Elvissa who were based in the capital Ibiza Town.They had a 10,000 seater stadium, what is bigger than most Scottish Premier League stadiums, called the Estadi Can Misses. They club who were founded with the merge of  Sociedad Deportiva Ibiza and Union Elvissa in 1995 and were at the peak between 2007 and 2009 when they played in the Segunda Divison B, the third tier of Spanish football. Famous players include:
 Jonan Garcia, who was a product of the Athletic Bilbao youth system and went on to play 36 games and scored 2 goals for last seasons Europa League finalists.He joined UD Ibiza-Elvissa in 2007 and played one season for them scoring 4 goals in 29 matches.
Javi Moreno, who was tought his football at the world famous Barcelona La Cantera youth academy, although he did not make a single appearence for the Catalan club he did move to Italian giants AC Milan and made 16 appearences and scoring 2 goals in his one season at the club. He also played for Athletico Madrid and Bolton before joining the Ibiza club.
Union Deportiva Ibiza-Elvissa unfortunatly were liquidated in 2010 with debts of over 1 million euros.
